Take Care                                March 21, 2011

Many people ask the question "is society obligated to take care of its members?" If you mean society as in government the answer is no. When you mean society at large, that answer is found in each individual's heart.

The fact is our society has always taken care of the needy. This was the job of churches & clubs like the Elks and Masons. There were philanthropic organizations like the Red Cross and Salvation Army whose sole purpose was to help the needy. In national emergencies all over the world Americans can be counted on, to be in the forefront of giving. This was seen in disasters like Haiti and Indonesia. The American people will always forget their economic hardships and help out. Americans are the most generous people in the world, because we're free.

When people give out of the goodness of their hearts, that's charity. When government places mandates on your paycheck that's just down right evil. If you think it's okay to take one man's earnings and give it someone more in need, that's socialism, pure political theft. There is very little difference between a politician and a thief. Rob from the rich and the rich can't create jobs, your left with recession. How has all that hope and change been working out for you? Enjoying the recession?

In the constitution it clearly states the only job of the government is to protect our borders and to fight our wars almost nothing else. Anything else is irrelevant like government run health care, social security, and even welfare. All these programs are the job of the people! The founding fathers knew what they were talking about when they wrote the Constitution. We all know how much trouble they went through to form the greatest nation in the world. Why would you want to change it or go against it? Politicians are violating the Constitution they swore to uphold, it needs to end.

Generosity is not the job of the government but the job of the people. When the government assumes the role of Robin Hood you have disaster. The government only makes things worse. We the people of the United States run the country not this so called government. The simple fact is that government is no good at being generous. They steal fifty percent of what we earn, help no one and destroy the economy in the process.

Finally people are waking up to the fact that government is failing. Leaders in Washington are actually talking about not just balancing the budget but reducing the debt. That's change you can believe in!

This is especially relevant to my generation. Not only have politicians taken half the abundance of my parent's generation, but they've stolen our future with over fourteen trillion dollars in debt. What politicians really need to take care of is, business.
