Introduction
In the dark ages if a doctor failed to heal the Emperor they cut off his head. We do that today! Only now we let lawyers sue the doctor to death instead of beheading him. Would you want to be a doctor if executed for failure? This has to end or soon we'll be paying for our health care, with our freedom.
This book is a tribute to a wonderful man. A doctor who when giving kids a shot would tell them to hold still this won't hurt me one little bit. He loved his community & gave of his time without thinking of monetary reward.
It's about his family, their love of music, especially opera. It's about the many colorful people in his life, and his his love of baseball.
This book is about American ideals, fair play hard work & freedom.
This is health care as seen through the eyes of a child, the complex made simple. A simple way of looking at a problem politicians, judges, lawyers & insurance have made complex.
There is no health care crisis in America, the crisis is political. There are still doctors like Doc Swails who would love to serve their communities if we'd let them. If we'd let doctors freely practice medicine again we'd have people lined up to get into medical school. We need to make the "easy choices," not the "hard choices! " It's called, Tort Reform.

My Grandfather's biography has tales of his baseball days, he once hit a home run off Dizzy Dean! It's about his many years of doctoring beginning with the flu pandemic of 1918. He was a typical American Country Doctor. This book presents the truth of how he and his generation of doctors took care of all the people in their communities. It offers a common sense solution to the "Health Care Crisis" - a return to freedom. It's also the story of his talented family.
The "Last Country Dr" is filled with humor and truth, it's a "Tea Party" point of view on health care, you know the Constitutional approach. Plus if you like opera it's a must!
Doc had a son who sang opera, my father, included in the download is his unreleased album "Gianni Savelli Sings Tenor Arias." It was recorded in 1968 with the Rome Opera Orchestra. He was a truly great tenor. He had international success singing not only the standard repertoire but also the most difficult roles such as William Tell and Puritani. The album includes arias from William Tell, Rosenkavallier, Manon Lescaut and many others.

It's about the next generation now. What we pass on to our children. Ours is the greatest heritage of any people in history, it's called freedom. Tell the children that a limited government, is their right, the Constitution belongs to them. We the people! The right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! Free Speech! Equality! We're endowed by our Creator not a king or ruling council. Self reliance is our gift to them. Politicians have grown selfish. The battle has begun for our children's inheritance. Elect new leaders who'll shrink government, if 10% enough for God it's enough for Uncle Sam! Eliminate debt! End the out of control spending! We've no right to burden our children! We owe our children a clean slate and the same freedom we've enjoyed. The freedom passed down to us by our parents and grandparents, the freedom so many have fought and died for. Tell the children, government doesn't owe anyone health care, retirement, higher education, jobs, loans, food, clothing, transportation, shelter or social programs. Government's job is security, not regulation or to provide for us. Government job is not conservation, saving the environment or to provide for the poor, charity, no all those jobs belong to "we the people" individually. Government's most important job is to stay out of our lives entirely & let us provide for ourselves, especially our medical care.
